Hi. I took a half of a .5 Xanax without thinking after a bad nightmare. I just remembered I had drank about a beer and a half earlier in the night stoping drinking 4 hours or so ago. And the half beer was at dinner about 7 hours ago. Am I going to be fine?
It is true that Xanax should not be combined with alcohol. But as the dosage of Xanax taken by you is less and the amount of alcohol consumed by you is also less, you are going to be fine. Monitor yourself and immediately rush to the nearest hospital if any problem occurs. My only advice, if you choose to try it, would be to limit yourself to one drink only. Monitor your body very closely during and after the drink to see how you feel. And I believe benzos multiply the potency of alcohol more than most SSRIs. I could not endorse mixing xanax and alcohol in any amounts, but of course, the choice is yours. Whatever you do, just please be careful!God bless.
