Is It Okay To Use Aldara After Treating Genital Wart With Apple Cider Vinegar?
I made the mistake of trying to treat a genital wart with Apple Cider Vinegar (home remedy), and it burned my skin. I have been prescribed Aldara now and would like to use it ASAP. My anus is still a little bit sore from were I applied the ACV a week ago and I am wondering if it is okay to begin the application of Aldara.
Hello, Welcome to healthcare magic. From your history , it seems that you developed an acute irritant dermatitis to apple cider vinegar. Aldara cream contains imiqumid, which is also known to cause intense irritation in some individuals. If the area is still sore, I would advise you to apply a topical antibiotic containing 2% mupirocin twice a day for 5-10 days till the soreness completely subsides. You could then apply imiquimod cream as per your doctor' s advice. Hope this answered your query. Take care.
