Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Is it possible for a 10 yr old girl to have shingles only on her face, but on both sides of her face? She had first signs of break out on Mon morning right eye, outer corner; followed by left eye, outer corner and under both eyes on Tues morning; Wed morning she had more on bridge of her nose. Ped dr took lab sample, put her on anti-viral med; then today sent to eye specialist; specialist found healthy eyes. This evening it looks like she is getting more fine rash on her jawline. no fever; no itch; just painful with eyeballs aching. There never appears to be any noticeable blister; drainage from eyes or anything. Started out with 2 large spots at corner of her eye; next was a rash looking cluster at corner of eye and under both eyes. large spots are scabbed over now; no sores in mouth or anywhere else on body; just face.
