Is It Possible That High Eosinophil Count Can Lead To Itching Of Legs And Back?

hello. my eosinophil count came high 0.6x10*9/L and the normal range is 0.00-0.40x10*9/L. my body, particularly my back and leg itching all the time. it gets worse espacially at nights. could you please tell me what is my problem? if you think that I have a problem, how can I persuate my doctor to take some more action? thank you.

Hello, eosinophils are a type of cell that is associated with certain conditions when elevated. Allergic diseases can present with itchiness and a high eosinophil blood count. If you are experiencing breathing problems, you may have asthma or another lung problem.
Unless you can not take an anti-histamine at night, this may relieve the itching.
In addition, local application of 1% over the counter hydrocortisone may help until you see your doctor for this condition. Please check with your doctor to follow up.
