Is It Possible That The Hospital Where I Had My 1st Xray Could Still Have A Copy Of It.
i need a pulmonologist clearance however i lost my 1st chest and apico xray....more than a year ago i was diagnosed with tb so i underwent treatment for 6 months and last february 2013 i was treated already...and then after several months i went to a hospital to do another check up however its a different hospital ..i just provided my chest and apico xray when i was diagnosed with tb and they told me that its no longer active...however just a month ago when i had my preemployment medical exam..i had a chest xray and they told me there are findings .i dont know what they mean by that but they are asking for a pulmonologist clearance however i lost my chest and apico xray...they need it for comparison....is it possible that the hospital where i had my 1st xray still have a copy of it.
The hospital usually keeps a copy of the result or images for at least 5 years. You may go there to ask for your old image and result. It is also ideal that you do follow up in the same clinic where the first one was taken to have a better comparative study than going to different institutions for another imaging study.
Thank you.
