Is It Possible To Father A Child Post TURP Surgery?

Hello ... I am a 56 Year Old Male I had a TURP procedure a few years ago. Before I went into the operating room, my urologist asked me for a final time .... are you sure you DO NOT want to have children down the road ? I said yes. I was fully aware of what he was asking. My question to you, is there a way or medical Procedure for my wife/girlfriend to get pregnant after a TURP ? Whether its Invetro or some other Medical Breakthrough. Just curious. Thanks, Greg

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Having TURP may give you problems such erectile dysfunction, retrograde ejaculation or dry orgasms which may make it difficult for you to father a child. Of course, you can do it in vitro or there is a possibility of conceiving naturally.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
