a recent MRI shows a sheath filled with fluid around the optic nerve. my opthomologist in 33 yrs has never seen this. cleveland clinic will not acknowledge my hospitalization for a high resolution MRI. can you tell me anything about this??
There is no condition in which sheath filled fluid will be found near optic nerve. First vision is to be recorded. fundus examination to asses the condition. flourocin angigraphy or fundus photo graphygives the picture retinal circulation. Fluorocin iv and photograph after 6seconds gives the picture of retinal blood vessel, A,ll these investigation can give some idea about the retinal condition Take the veiw of-neurologist and retina surgeon-for final opinion.
