Is It Possible To Have An Ultrasound Before 6 Weeks Of Pregnancy ?

I am 26/f and I had 2 miscarriages before. I am pregnant now. My last period was on August 23. I ovulated on Sept 21. My obgyn scheduled an ultrasound on Oct 12. She says I would be 6 weeks pregnant by then and before that they cant see anything in the ultrasound. With ovulation date of Sept 21, shouldn t I be 3 weeks pregnant on Oct 12 and not 6 weeks ? Should I ask them to postpone the appointment for another 3 weeks?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi, this is a little puzzling. By 'ovulating', did you mean you had a period(i.e.bleeding) ? But you also said your last period was 23 Aug. Could you kindly clarify this so that someone can help you with your query. Take care.

Pediatrician Dr. Suryakanta Baraha's  Response
hi rjakkani,
welcome to hcm
thanks for the query
6th week means 6 week after your 1st day of last menstrual period
so if if your last period was on august 23 then oct 12 will be the right time
so go for ultrasound on that day as your doctor advised you
take care
