Is It Possible To Have Prostatitis Undiagnosed For Three Years?
Hi there just been diagnosed with Prostatits, i had a cysoscope three years ago. Which showed bladder inflamation..They have been treating the bladder for three years no..Urodynamaics and two more cystoscopes later, they find the prostate is inflamed..Is it possible to of had that for three years undiagnosed?
I can understand your concern and will try to help you in the best way possible. Yes it is possible that a chronic prostatitis remains undiagnosed for a long time. The prostate is quite a hidden organ so problems may go unnoticed. Also the symptoms caused by it are quite similar to a UTI or cystitis or urethritis so it is commonly mixed with these conditions. However you have now been diagnosed as chronic prostatitis. You can consult your doctor or a urologist so that he can initiate an appropriate antibiotic course after necessary testing. I will advise you to bear with your physician and be conpliant as the treatment of this condition is slightly long.
Hope it helps you.
