Hi.
I've gone through your query and I can understand your anxiety.

Infectious mononucleosis (or mono infection ) is a vruao infection caused by Epstein-Barr virus (EBV).
It happens only once in most of the cases. In rare cases, mononucleosis symptoms may recur after months or years later the initial attack.

The EBV reactivates itself in people with weak immune system. If it happens , the person becomes contagious even during the incubation period of the virus.

- I advice you to consult your doctor if you have symptoms like fever, fatigue, sore throat & swollen nodes.

- Do tests to rule out hepatitis & toxoplasmosis if it's common in your locality as they minimic the same symptoms.

- Take immunosuppressive agents like cyclosporine or corticosteroids or combination of bortezomib and ganciclovir

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Take care.

Regards,
Dr. Yogapriya V, General and family physician.
