Is It Possible To Stop Applying Melacare Without Getting The Side Effects?
Hi doctor Iam using melacare from past 2months, now I wish to stop the use of this.but some of my friends are saying stop of melcare will cause skin getting more black than our normal skin tone.please tell me the safe way that how can I stop this with out any side effect.
Hello, Welcome to healthcare magic. Melacare cream contains mometasone which is a steroid formulation, which over long term can cause side effects. The skin gets used to it and on stopping after 2 months of use, you can have burning, redness and scaling of skin. To prevent this, you could reduce its application to twice a week and keep in contact only for 2-3 hours in the evening on those days. After 2-3 weeks , reduce the application to just once a week and again, wash it off after 2-3 hours of contact. Use a sunscreen in the mornings and afternoon. Do not re use it again. Hope this helps you. Take care.
