Is It Possible To Walk With Limited Ability In Right Arm And Tingling Sensation In Right Foot?
I am a new Care Provider for IHSS. My clients name is Wilber Reaves and resides in Porterville Ca. Wilber is strong minded as well as willed. he has limited ability of his right arm and can feel tingling sensations in the right foot. its been three years since the accident , is it possible with limited resources and me at his side to walk again?
I am so sorry to hear about your client and his symptoms. I understand how difficult it can be for hi not to be able to walk. The best way to tel whether he can walk or not is to talk with his doctors and find out if there is any condition that prohibits and upright position in him or not. If he is cleared, then walking by his side to prevent any falls would be a great idea. The mere reason why we would discourage clients from walking is to minimize falls. If you are guaranteed that he would not fall, then he should be able to do this.. Also, if he walks with difficulties, a physical therapist can help with his recovery
I hope this addresses your query fully. Thank you so much for using our services and please feel free to ask for clarifications if need be. I wish you the best of health. Dr. Ditah, MD.
