Hello
Thanks for writing to us with your health concern.
Actually, the presence of a
fibroid per se is NOT an indication for
pregnancy termination.
A lot of other variables have to be taken into consideration.
The size of the fibroid matters - 7 cm is a big one.
That said, the location of the fibroid matters.
If the fibroid is abutting the
cervix or the endometrium or such a sensitive area, there are high chances that the pregnancy might end up in a
miscarriage, or preterm labour, or malpresentations, or abnormal outcomes.
Subserosal fibroids, on the other hand, are relatively innocuous.
The number matters - multiple fibroids are more dangerous.
ALso, red degeneration within a fibroid is more painful and strenuous for the mother.
As such, even a big fibroid which is not compressing the fetus, is not that risky as a small fibroid that impinges on the cavity.
Thus, please attach or upload your
ultrasound scan report and other clinical details and write in at -

That way I will be able to provide a better opinion.
All the best.
Please feel free to discuss further.
