Is It Safe For Me To Attempt For Natural Pregnancy Or Should I Go For IVF Having Lost My Fallopian Tube In Ectopic Pregnancy?

I lost my left fallopian tube due to an ectopic pregnancy 4 years ago. I recently underwent a hsg. The results stated that my tube was patent with free spillage, however slight beading on a portion of the tube. Is it wise for me to continue to try and attempt pregnancy naturally, or is it advised that IVF is my best option?

Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear that you lost one of your tubes in a previous ectopic pregnancy. The findings of the recent HSG suggest that the right tube is patent. This is good news and there is no reason for you to rush to any IVF in order to become pregnant. Give it a try for at least 1ear before considering any other assistance in order to get pregnant. You do not need two tubes in order to be able to get pregnant. One is good enough though two simply increase the chances. I have had many patients who go on to have as any babies as they wish even with a single fallopian tube. There is no reason to get to worried about this unless times proves becoming pregnant difficult.

I wish you well.I hope you find this information useful. thank you so much for using our services and fee free to request for more information if needed. Thanks.
