Is It Safe To Continue Taking Regestrone During Conception?
hello Doctor,My last period date was 31 December 2014, then it delays for 2 month. I consult doctor for this delay periods and he suggest me the Regestrone 5ml tablet for regular periods. i got my periods on 20th march 2015. Now we are planning for baby but again i got my periods. Is regestrone reason for this? since 2 month we are trying for baby but fails.
Regestrone is commonly given to treat various menstrual problems including painful, heavy, or irregular periods, etc. It is given to treat medical conditions like premenstrual syndrome (PMS) and a condition called endometriosis. Since you are not having any menstrual problems you may stop taking Regestrone.
When you are trying for a baby ideally you should not be taking any medicines and stay away from addictions if any so that you have a healthy conception. Stay away from stress, take adequate rest and high protein food, food rich in calcium and minerals. Get a routine medical check up done for both the partners to rule out any infection or PID, etc.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
