General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
According to the blood reports you mentioned here you are in range of prediabetes condition.
Metformin which is the content of glycomet sr is the drug of choice for people with prediabetic range.
Every drug in medicine has its own side effects.
Metformin have minor ones kike nausea, vomiting, stomach upset and all but its will get used to it.
For other major side effects to occur you should be taking it for a very long time which i suspect you aren't.
Just follow up with your doctor as advised, keep monitoring your blood sugars and dosage will be decreased if needed.
Thank you
