Is It Safe To Dissolve Tablet In The Mouth Instead Of Swallowing?

Hi, I just started to take the pill for the first time. I am on Estelle 35ED. I have trouble swallowing tablets so I have been letting the pill disolve in my mouth and as soon as its disolved i have a big gulp of coffee. Is that ok? Will it still work. I am only on the pill to clear up my face so do i need to take the pill at the same time everyday?

Understanding your concern.

As per your query you are on tablet Estelle 35ED which you are using to treat acne on face which works by decreasing oil or sebum production and can be used in women after completing a course of oral antibiotics.

Tablets such as time release pill or capsule, i.e if the pill says ER, XL, CR, etc. then it is time release and not crush-able or should not be opened. If you are not sure, you should ask your pharmacist about this. If your drugs are long acting and you cant swallow them, you will have to visit your doctor to change you to the regular release and take it more often or some drugs come in liquids.

You have to take this tablet for at least six months. It is often prescribed for prolonged periods to control acne. Yes you should take it on the same time everyday as it is a hormonal agent.
