Is It Safe To Give Amoxicillin For Fever In Children?

My kid is of 3years. All sudden he catched fever in the afternoon. We took him to Pediatrician and he prescribed maxclov DS 400/57mg. 3.5ml thrice a day and ibugesic plus.I wanted to is this amoxicillin salt based antibiotic safe for the kid of 3years old? He has also been prescribed indowel for mild vomitting. Please suggest about use of this treatment else I will go to another Doctor.I have not given him 150mg plus doses of antibiotic and amoxillin is new salt for him.
