Is It Safe To Give Amoxicillin Without Refrigeration To Child For Swelling Due To Tooth Cavities?
My son 4.5 yrs was prescribed oral Amoxicillin \ Clavulanate on last wednesday (1\1\2014) for swelling on his right cheek due to tooth cavities.. But somehow we missed from 1\1\2014 till last night to refrigerate the oral medicine.. It was in cold place in house but not in refrigerator Wants to know if its safe to still give him the medicine ? Thanks, Surendra
dear user the mediciene should be place at cold place . there should not be in high temperature . high temperature and freezing both cause temperature excursion . so it should not be there . if you are sure that medicine was placed in cold temperature in between 15-25 degree celsius than you can give this to your child . you should check expiry date of medicine . dont keep medicine open for long time .
