Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

I understand your concern. Budecort is an inhaled steroid used to treat allergic causes of cough like asthma/transient wheezing in children. Usually we suspect allergic cough / asthma when there is similar illness in siblings / close relatives, cough is more at night/early morning and getting response to nebulisation / inhalers. If diagnosed to have the same, budecort is a safer and very commonly used drug in children.

If not responding in 1-2 weeks, we will have to reconsider the diagnosis. Your doctor will guide you. Meanwhile keep him away from cold & dust. Keep the bed room clean and dust free.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam T. K., Pediatrician
