Hi,
Is he having fever also during each episodes? Associated fast breathing or breathing difficulty?
Treatment depends on the cause of cough. If recurrent cough is associated with fever and fast breathing, this suggests
recurrent pneumonia. This needs antibiotics to treat an episode.
To prevent recurring- keep room and surroundings clean and free of dust/smoke, keep away from smokers and people with fever and cough. Also give all vaccines including pneumococcal and
influenza vaccine.
Recurring cough without fever may indicate allergy or asthma. This needs (apart from above mentioned points) inhaled anti allergy medications.
So kindly discuss with your
pediatrician, as we have to consider many things before coming into a conclusion regarding the underlying cause.
Clavam is an antibiotic used to treat respiratory infections in children(Better to keep in fridge, but not freezer).
Asthalin is a
bronchodilator used to control wheezing.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
