Is It Safe To Give Progylutori For Persistent Bleeding During Periods?

My daughter is suffering from menstrual disorder for more than a month continuously and there is no breakage in periods. Contacted gyenecologist in this regard and she advised progyluton tabs containing white and brown color tabs. But we have no idea how they are used. Her age is 13 years old. Kindly guide me.

Hi

Progyluton contains estradiol and norgestrel which is used to regularise bleeding in cases of abnormal uterine bleeding.

One white tablet daily should be taken for the first 11 days, then one brown tablet daily for the next 10 days. After 21 days of taking the tablets, take a 7-day break. During the 7-day break, bleeding similar to menstrual bleeding may occur; this is normal.

It is also essential to take the tablet at the same time of the day throughout the cycle inorder to maintain constant hormonal levels.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
