Is It Safe To Give Pulse Polio Drops While On Antibiotics For Fever?
My daughter was suffering from fever since one week, past two days started using anti biotics (Doctor has given one week course )and now no symptoms of fever , she has cold only now ( its dry cold... I mean to say no running nose ).. My question is can I give pulse polio vaccine tomorrow ? Is it safe to give polio drops during anti biotics use ?

1. Babies with minor coughs and colds without fever, or those receiving antibiotics in the recovery phase of an acute illness: can be immunised safely and effectively. 2. Very unwell child- high fever over 38.5°C, acute severe gastroenteritis and respiratory disease: Immunisation should be postponed or has a Immunisation should be arranged for when the baby is well again (a week or two later). If in any doubt, ask your doctor or health clinic staff before putting off immunization.
