Is It Safe To Go Out With Second Degree Infection On The Legs And How Long Will It Take To Cure When On Antibiotics?

MY SON HAS A REALLY BAD STAPH INFECTION ON HIS LEGS. HE WENT TO THE ER LAST NIGHT FOR THE SECOND TIME IN TWO WEEKS. NOW HE HAS A SECOND DEGREE INFECTION. HE IS CURRENTLY TRAINING IN THE POLICE ACADEMY. IS IT SAFE FOR HIM TO DO THIS? HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE AN INFECTION TO CLEAR UP IF YOU ARE ON ANTIBIOTICS

Infections get worse when exposed to air, I would suggest him to stay at home for a period of one week for speedy recovery. It takes around one week to cure when on antibiotics. If your son insists on going to academy, better apply soframycin and wrap it up with a bandage so that it doesn't get exposed to air.
