AZIWOK WAS PRESCRIBED BY MY DOCTOR FOR PAINS IN MY BREAST. I AM A NURSING MOTHER BREAST FEEDING. I AM CURRENTLY HAVING PAINS IN MY BREAST. I VISITED THE PHARMACY WITH THE PRISCRIPTION. AZIWOK WAS NOT AVAILABLE BUT AZOMAX 500MG WAS RECOMMENDED. IS IT SAFE TO ADMINISTER.

i understand your concern.
Tablet aziwok and azomax both contains same -drug azithromycin. azithromycin is an antibiotic drug used against infection. this drug should be taken with caution during pregnancy and lactation. if your doctor has prescribed you this drug then continue with drug, but at the same time also consult a doctor about pain. if doctor says that continue drug then take a drug. My advice is do not take over the counter drug during lactation.
