Is It Safe To Have Clonazepam For Degenerative Disc Disease?

doc gave me ColnazePAM 0.5MG for pain in my right leg and thigh and i see this pill is use for other things and no word of pain i am not sure if i want to take this pill it has all kinds of side effects and say don t stop taking it. he has take 1 a day, once doc said i have multi degenarative dic disease is this good for that too

Hello,

Clonazepam is a long acting benzodiazepine used in the following conditions:
1) Panic disorder
2) Seizure disorder
3) Sleep disorders
4) Essential tremors

It's not used in disc degeneration or for pain. The following can be used for pain relief:
1) NSAIDs like Ibuprofen or Aceclofenac daily twice for 10 days. To prevent gastric irritation, tab. Pantop 40 mg to be taken once daily before food
2) Opioids like Hydrocodone, Oxycodone and Tramadol daily twice for 10 days
3) Neuromodulators like Pregabalin 75 mg once daily for 1 month
