Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Is It Safe To Have Furosemide Along With Loratadine?
TakenFurosemide 40mg for fluid retention andLoratadine, because, I have a allergy to sulfur and sulfate drugs: Is there any problem taking these drugs together ? I m also on Triamterene-HTZ and dexilant . I take all together in the morning. Do these interact ?
Furosemide can be used with Loratadine without any interactions. But furosemide is to be carefully monitored when given with hydrochlorothiazide as both of these medications decrease the levels of potassium in the body.
But as you are also given triamterene, which increases the levels of potassium in body, the effect is nullified. So, I mean to say there are no significant interactions and you can use all together without any harm.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Pallavi M., Anesthesiologist
