Hi, I have gone through your question. PCOS is a disease in which there is
hormonal imbalance and thus periods are delayed and there is weight gain due to
insulin not acting properly in the body.
Metformin is given in PCOS for proper working of insulin so that glucose is appropriately metabolised in the body.
Crisanta is an oral
contraceptive pill which improves the hormonal profile in PCOS and helps the patient to have regular periods. Krimson also have same composition, but femilon is dig=fferent in contents and not appropriate for PCOS.
Metformin and Crisanta have no serious adverse effects, but you need to have 4-6 weekly liver function test done as they are metabolised in liver and can cause its derangement.
Moreover, you should get your blood pressure and weight checked regularly, as crisanta causes increased blood pressure and weight gain in long run.
I suggest you to follow your doctor's advice.
Hope you found this answer helpful.
Wishing you good health.
