Is It Safe To Have Ablation Or Hysterectomy For Heavy Bleeding?
I have tried birth control pills and medroxyprogesterone for heavy bleeding which occurs often and for extended lengths of time and neither worked. I am 51 years old and my doctor has given me the option of ablation or hysterectomy. I had an emergency C-section 21 years ago. I don't have any clue which way to go.
Considering your age and symptoms, on basis of my past experience I would suggest you to go for hysterectomy, but if you don't want to get that done you can have endometrial biopsy followed by ablation and see for results. Ask your gynecologist for his opinion as he can prescribe you according to his examination findings. Take care and all the best
