Is It Safe To Have Electrophysiology Study For Fast Heartbeat?

Hi Doctor, docotor have suggested to undergo EPS test to my mother as sometime she feels her heartbeat goes very fast. I wanted to check 1) How safe this test is ? 2) How much time does this test takes? 3) What is success rate in the test ? 4) Can it get treated along with test? 5) Is there any side effect of it. 6) Approx cost incurred into this. Thank in advance, Brajesh

it's safe test, complication rate is not that high.
Success rate is also good and diagnose and treat the patient in the same setting. success rate is around 80%
time depends upon patient condition ranging from 30 min to hours.
sideeffects like local hematoma formation and bleeding etc.
