Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Blood pressure measurements guide treatment modifications. If a patient blood pressure is within the target limits then there is no need for change unless significant side effects have occurred. If you're feeling bad after taking the pill then perhaps this symptom on its own is enough to initiate a discussion between you and your doctor in order to find a solution (perhaps alternatives to Lisinopril?).
On the other hand if your blood pressure is at optimal level then changing the regimen should be done only when absolutely necessary. In most cases symptoms like yours (dizziness, etc) occur when the blood pressure is too low. What most doctor do is to let the aim for a systolic blood pressure around 130 mmHg. If the blood pressure is lower (and particularly if it's much around 90-110 mmHg) then the doctor questions the patient about symptoms of dizziness or postural hypo tension. If the patient does have such symptoms then the doctor would usually reduce the dosage, substitute one drug for another or stop the offending drug altogether.

Please let me know if you need more help!
Kind Regards!
