Is It Safe To Skip Weekends When Using 'intuniv' For ADHD In A Child?

My 13 year old daughter was prescribed Intuniv for ADHD and she is starting at 1 mg for one week, 2 mg the second week, and 3 mg the third week. The doctor said we should skip weekends... but I wonder about skipping weekends when it is a medicine that needs to be started out slowly and built up... Is it safe to skip weekends when using Intuniv?

Thanks for the query.
Use this medication exactly as prescribed. Dosage is based on your medical condition and response to treatment. To reduce the risks of side effects (such as low blood pressure, slow heart rate, drowsiness), your doctor may start you at a low dose and gradually increase your dose.
Skipping weekends drug totally depend on your medical condition which your doctor can better explain you.
Hope i help you.
