Is It Safe To Smoke Pot While Having Scratch In Cornea?

Hello, my cornea got scratched a little bit, went to a village doctor to check it out. He prescribed atropine and sent me to an ophthalmologist tomorrow. It hurts.. mainly when I close my eyelid and find it quite difficult to fall asleep. The question is - can I smoke a bit of pot to help me fall asleep? I know it does something with the pressure in the eye so I d rather be sure. I am not a big smoker so couple of puffs will be more than enough. It s legal here. Thanks a lot.

Doesn't have huge eye effects. Some people get somewhat lowered pressures inside of the eye with marijuana and most people get some irritation of the eye with it. Due to the eye irritation there might be some subjective increase in eye irritation from it. There is almost guaranteed to be some increase in eye REDNESS from it of little significance although it might really worry you in this context. You also will become more aware of the symptoms of the scratched cornea. So, it is likely that you will FEEL LIKE there is an interaction and it could be a bit worrying. However, marijuana is in the inside and the scratch is on the outside and they don't have interaction, basically. The lowering of the pressure of the eye cannot really affect a scratch. but if it did it would be in the right direction not in a bad direction.
