Is It Safe To Switch From Generic Form Of Procardia For Lupus?

I have lupus and I have been taking procardiA for my blood pressure which my doctor said was good for lupus.I have actually been taking the generic. Will this time my pharmacy I received the generic but it said the common brand is a adalatt cc.It always said procardiA. The pharmacy this is ok. Just was wondering is it

Hi,

Yes, it is safe to switch these drugs. Both Procardia and adalat cc contain the same active drug nifedipine. Hence adalat CC may be used which is equally effective to control high blood pressure.
