Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
hi sir my husband is 30 years old and he has sore throat from last week. his doc suggested him antibiotics for throat infection but after 5 days of antibiotics course there is no improvement. now his doc suggested him aciloc as my husband has history of acidity. my question is what would you suggest for him about proper diagnosis and treatment?
As per your query you have sore throat and doctor prescribed aciloc . The symptoms you mention in query are pointing towards a condition known as acid reflux . I would suggest you to avoid spicy and heavy food specially at night , eat one hour before going to bed , take a light walk after every meal and take antacid like gelusil . If condition doesn't get better in a week then consult ENT specialist for proper examination . Doctor may order tests like viral culture test , swab test and blood test to rule out viral infection .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
