Is It Safe To Take Akurit Tablets For Pulmonary Tuberculosis?
I am avinash.my father(age 56 and weight 55) was suffering with afb positive(3+) pulmonary tuberculosis from past 1 month and the doctor adviced to take akrut 4 tablets 3 per day after breakfast.he is getting mild fever everyday especially at night time,may I know the reason for that.

The minimum total duration of the treatment of TB is 6 months.
First 2 months Akurit-4 are given for 2 months, this is followed by Akurit-2 for additional 4 months.
Mild fever could be due to a medicine Rifampicin which is present in Akurit tablet, it is self limiting nothing to worry about it.
