Is It Safe To Take Allegra Twice A Day For Hives?

hi can i take allegra twice a day ( morning and evening)for hives? i have swelling and when i take one the swelling takes very long to go down. i am about to go on vactaion and do not want any outbreaks for the ten day period so will twice a day be ok for that time?
