Is It Safe To Take Amlodipine To Control BP And Pulse Rate?
I took my bloody pressure medicine at 7 am as usual but I just measured my pressure and is 135/96, pulse 83. My medicine is Amlodipine Besylate 2.5 mg Tab. I have a Dr. Appointment at 9 am. Can I take my medication now to lower my blood pressure until my appointment? Or should I wait?
HI, Welcome to HCM, I read your query and i appreciate your concern regarding this issue. I would not suggest you to miss any of your dose for any reason like appointment ect. I would advise you to - Omit salt from your diet. - Take enough liquids daily. - Go for walk regularly. - Monitor your B.P three times a day. - Avoid oily, fried or spicy food. - Go for Fasting Lipid Profile. Consult with your doctor or write again with report.
Hope so it will be helpful. You can write again in case of any query or follow up. Wish you good health. Regards
