Is It Safe To Take Amoxicillin Clavulanate For Tooth Abscess?

Two weeks ago I had a abscess on my back, this week I had a abscesses tooth now I feel a bump on my lady parts down south,I was wondering are these all co next ed ? My doc prescribed amox/clav 500 mg twice a day last week my back looks better my jaw is still hurting but now I'm wondering should I be taking something stronger if these are conceted

Can understand your concern..

As per your complain antibiotics work efficiently against bacterial infections and tooth abscess is one among those..
Amoxicillin Clavulanate containing amoxicillin and clavulanic acid in which clavulanic acid help in increasing the efficiency of amoxicillin in conditions where amoxicillin has less efficacy or in resistant cases.

It is a suitable antibiotic for tooth abscess but you should also take a painkiller like Advil to cure pain..

In case of a tooth abscess although antibiotics and painkillers provide relief but it is temporary and there can be relapse,so in-order to get permanent relief tooth should be treated either by Root Canal treatment or extraction..
