Is It Safe To Take Amoxil For Chronic Cough During Pregnancy?

Hi actually i am 23 weeks pregnant and having serious cough with yellow saliva in lungs can i take amoxil tablet ??? Is it safe ?? Actually i am worried because i have taken antibiotics early in pregnancy due to urinary tract infection for 6 to 10 days can any one answer me ??

Chronic cough during pregnancy can be due to many reasons:-
1. Allergic rhinitis/bronchitis
2. Asthma
3. Infections of lungs such as pneumonia, infection of throat, bronchitis etc
4.Cough can be due to heart failure and GERD as well
Treatment depends upon cause of cough, Infection will require antibiotics such as Amoxil & Allergic conditions, Asthma will require other treatment.

So you should visit a physician, he would make a specific diagnosis & treat you accordingly
