General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

The combination of aspirin and Prilosec (Omeprazole) is given to reduce the risk of CVA and heart attacks and is a good combination. Prilosec is given so as to reduce the chances of developing a stomach ulcer due to aspirin.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Anoop Kumar, General & Family Physician
