Is It Safe To Take Buprenorphine Along With Clonazepam?
i am taking buprenorphine and valproate with 5mg zyprexa for my 7 years heroin addiction and ive been takin 2mg clonazepam and pot in those heroin addiction phase , and I have a really high tolerance , my question is can I take clonazepam with 12mg buprenorphine a day and thanks
It is not safe to take these two medications together. Since these medications are known to cause central nervous systemdepression when used alone hence if taken together there will be an increased risk of developing serious side effects such as difficulty in breathing, respiratory distress, coma, and even death. Ask your doctor to prescribe alternatives that do not interact, or you may need a dose adjustment or more frequent monitoring to safely use both medications.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
