Is It Safe To Take Buscopan With Lactulose For Constipation And Stomach Cramps?

Hi ive been constipated all day and havent been to the toilet for a number 2 in 2 days ive been trying to go all day ive been getting very bad stomach cramps with it too i do have ibs though!! I went to the chemist and got some lactulose soultion within 4 to 5 hours i needed to go which still hurt me a great deal but did eventually pass some its just left me with stomach cramps n pains i have some buscopan tablets that the doctor gave me months ago but aint took them in a while just wanted to check i could take one even though ive took lactulose soultion???

Hello there,
Buscopan is for stomach cramps. It helps your stomach and intestines relax . While lactulose causes evacuation of your bowels. They tend to be opposing actions so you may end up remaining constipated. Have warm water and ensure atleast 8 glasses of water daily. That coupled with a lactulose solution will ensure you have soft stools . Do not worry about your motions. For some people once a day is normal and for some once in 3 days. Having fruits like ripe bananas and papayas also will help to soften your stools and promote your motions.
