Is It Safe To Take Ciprofloxacin 500 Mg For Bladder Infection?

My 71 y/.o mother just started taking Ciprofloxacin, 500mg/tablet for a bladder infection. shortly after taking she started to shake and says she feels very cold. We called the doctor and are waiting to hear back. She isn't having difficulty breahting. Should she go to an emergency room or is this a normal side effect?

means it is definitely drug reaction ( though unusual presentation but
can ) .
* Recommendations for the better outcome

- Stop taking further doses .
- Allow her with plenty of liquids .
- Tab. Tylenol ( 500 ) mg instant dose with green tea or coffee would be
much beneficial .
- Cover her with warm blankets .
- ER visit after 1 hr . if condition persist otherwise not .
- Start another antibiotic after 12 hrs . according to the guidance of your
doctor .
