Is It Safe To Take Desipramine And Desvenlafaxine Together?

Are desipramine and desvenlafaxine safe to take together? My husband takes a very low dose of desipramine for puedendal nerve compression. He has been on that for a long time. His new doctor recently prescribed the desvenlafaxine for severe depression.
