Is It Safe To Take Disprin To Treat Mild Headache?

Hello,I get mild headache, more towards the left side of my forehead, about 3,4 times a month. It does not go till the time I take Disprin, after which the ache subsides within half an hour. Could you guide on the following - 1. Is this a symptom of some health problem?2. Is 4,5 tablets of disprin a month a matter of concern?Note - I use laptop/desktop for more than 12 hours a day. I wear spectacles and lens interchangeably. Just adding for info.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

1. This could be a symptom of migraine. You should consult a neurologist. There is other pills like triptanes to treat it more specifically.
2. The amount of disprin per month you are describing, is usually not dangerous.

Since your sitting hour is long, doing exercises and playing games is recommended.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ralf Von Seckendorff
