Is It Safe To Take Flomax Along With Keflex And Norco Pills For Kidney Stones?

I m a 58yo woman who s been trying to pass a 3.5 millimeter kidney stone. I went into emergency last night and just got the results of the CT scan. My question: Will I be able to pass this stone? They gave me flomax, keflex and norco. I can only take 2 norco tabs in a day but my pain level is between 6-8. I ve been drinking alot of fluids and using a heating pad.I have a note into my TP. Is there anything else I can do, hot tub maybe or should I go into the ER, if it gets worse?

Hi,

Kidney stones up to 5 mm can pass without any specific treatment. Although it is less common however taking Flomax along with Norco pills may have additive effects in lowering your blood pressure which may cause headache, dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, and/or changes in pulse or heart rate. Based on the scale of 6-8 you seem to have severe type of pain for which I advise you to go to emergency room for appropriate treatment.
