Is It Safe To Take Krimson 35 And Gluformin For PCOS?
Hi... i have been taking krimson 35 and gluformin 500 for the last 2 years for pcos... i had an ultrasound last month and the reports came back normal so my doctor asked me to discontinue the meds. .. but now I got my periods 2 weeks early... is this normal or a side effect of stopping krimson?
Krimson 35 contains both cyproterone and ethinyl estradiol which is used to treat symptoms of polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) such as excessive hair growth, acne and irregular periods. It also works as a contraceptive, hence avoid using any other contraceptive pill. In case you have stopped the treatment and you want to know what would be the effects of stopping the treatment - here are a few possibilities like recurrence of menstrual irregularities and bleeding, persistence of cysts in the ovary, in case ovulation may be affected infertility can occur. Don't stop taking the medication without consulting your treating doctor. You should consult you physician regarding the discontinuation of medication and follow his advice.
Gluformin contains metformin is a diabetic drug that is used in women diagnosed with PCOS. It improves regularity of the menstrual cycle and lowers body mass index, testosterone and luteinizing hormone within 6 months in women with PCOS who are of normal weight or are overweight. It is believed to work by improving insulin sensitivity that is commonly associated with PCOS. By lowering the insulin levels, Gluformin allows many women to cycle more normally.
