Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been diagnosed with lichen planus after a skin biopsy, this is after suffering for 15 years. In 2000 I had to take a trial weekly dose of Larium for a period of 4 months, I had no option as was in the armed forces serving in Africa. Could the Larium have caused the reaction?
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, Mefloquine (lariam) is anti-malarial drug and does not have any serious side effect, moreover if this is mandatory then one need to take this, no matter what is side effect, although this would be well tolerated, hope this information helps, take care.
