Hello,
Magprol and Flunarin both are very good drugs to control and prevent
migraine headache. As your symptoms are persistent even with the above drugs, you may need to ask your doctor to increase the dosage of drugs. Treatment options for migraine are cerena transcranial magnetic stimulator to reduce pain. Acute treatment is most effective when given within 15 minutes of pain onset and when pain is mild.
Analgesics used in migraine include
Acetaminophen, NSAIDs, and narcotic analgesics (eg, Oxycodone, Morphine sulfate). The 2 categories of migraine-specific oral medications are triptans and ergot alkaloids. The specific ergot alkaloids include ergotamine and
dihydroergotamine (DHE). The specific triptans include Sumatriptan, Rizatriptan,
Zolmitriptan, Naratriptan, Almotriptan, Eletriptan and
Frovatriptan. You can ask your treating physician to prescribe any of the above drugs for effective control of migraine headache.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Pallavi M., Anesthesiologist
